Jump Rope for Heart

Today at the school was the Jump Rope for Heart contest at school...which I did not know until Burandt text me from school at 8:21am to tell me.

Burandt...

...came in FIRST place for his grade (3rd).

Braydon...

...came in SECOND for his grade (6th).
Way to go boys!!!

Very First Concert...

...EVER!

For the boy that is ;)

Last Friday we brought the boys down to the Target Center in Minneapolis to their first concert. Miranda Lambert! (Jerrod Nieman and Chris Young were the oping acts) So technically they have now seen three country artists live in concert now :)
We stayed at the Marriott City Center, which was nice because we were literally a block and a half away from the Target Center, so we were able to walk. The boys enjoyed staying in a skyscraper. Brecken especially loved the elevators...we were on the 16th floor so we got to ride on them plenty of times :)

I know some of these photos are really dark...not much for lighting at concerts.

Enjoying snow cones while the opening acts played.

We all had a blast at the concert...sang out buns off ;) but boy were we tired once we got back to the hotel, but these kids are never to tired to play Nintendo.

On our way out of the city we drove by this crazy person (9:30 am) dressed in a bright pink gorilla suit. Ya that's not weird at all!?!?

...and of course we had to stop at Tobie's in Hinckley for breakfast. (we also stopped at Gordy's Hi-Hat on the way down but I didn't get pictures there)

All in all it was a great family trip!

All the snow didn't stop us from making the trip to little sucker lake to visit with family.

My dad and his mother ;)

We had a wonderful day and a great time catching up with great company....Thanks for having us!!

Yucky Snow

This past Sunday we got quite a snow storm here on the Range. So much snow, so fast that the kids finally got one of their first snow days, and got to stay home from school on Monday.

(final snow tally)

Just disgusting, right!

Birthday Boy!

Burandt turned 9 last week! Amazing how fast they grow up....seem like just yesterday we were all snuggled up on the couch watch "Meemo" (Finding Nemo) over and over again. Now I'm lucky to have a conversation face to face with him...thanks to his birthday present-- a cell phone!

This sure made his day... He has been wanting a phone of his own for quite some time now :)

He started his special day off with "birthday breakfast" ...he thought the candle, and hats were a bit unnecessary but I did not ;)

We had a little celebration just the five of us that evening and let him open his gifts from us and did cake and ice cream because we are not going to have an official party for him (well all three of them actually) till may at the Matrix in Hibbing.

Huh...looks like two candles left?? Whats that mean two lady friends :)
Happy Birthday Buddy we love you bunches!!

Easter 2011

 Looking for EGGs

Oliver sniffed his out right away (they had dog biscuits in them)
 Brecken Maxwell
 Burandt Michael
 Braydon Matthew

Here was a little Birthdays/Easter Surprise for the boys...
We surprised them with Miranda Lambert tickets...it will be their first concert EVER!! They are super excited :)

Garage Movers

Shar and Clayton have been wanting to build a bigger garage in their back yard, there was just one tiny problem- The Old Garage. So obviously Blake said he would take it off their hands for them :)
And so the adventure began...
Yesterday this garage sat comfortably in the happy little spot where it has been for many years...
...that is until the redneck moving company showed up (aka our wonderful family and friends:)

After bracing the crap out of the inside and jacking it up on to Jeffery's car hauler the fun began...or thenotso much fun :)
Right out of the gate we ran into a few snags with uneven alleyway, but with Justin on the skid-steer and the others inside putting more blocks and braces...we made it over that hurdle with minimal damage.

And in this small town we had plenty of curious neighbors...like a LOT!
Blake pulled the tailor from the front while Justin followed behind....Yay rounded the first corner!

 Slow and steady :)
Finally a couple turns and bumps in the road we made it to our alley...

...now just to back it into its new home.

 So close
A little dawn dish soap to help it glide into place with ease...works like a charm!
And finally backing her into the yard! Yes I am aware that there is no picture of it in its final resting place...the camera lady (me) went in to go to the bathroom and sat on the couch for just one tiny second and fell asleep for 3 hours...ugh! Its tough work snapping pics for an entire block and a half :)
Big BIG thank you to everyone who helped us get this beast home...we appreciate it greatly!
