What we did on Father's Day

On Father's Day we visited the mine view in Hibbing. It was in the 80's that day so it was a perfect day to be out and about!
The kids enjoyed seeing what Dad does (and used to do) at work.
sitting in one of the "smaller" tires
On a dump truck that is as big as our house...just like Dad used to drive!

Now at work Dad is in the Fire/Rescue Department...which means he and his partner, repair and/or replace over 1800 fire extinguisher's, do the fire systems in the entire plant and on all the trucks each month, and respond to medical calls and fires if their are any. He loves it!

We arrived just as Hib-Tac lunch hour was over...back to work they go...
...what's that on the ground you left there Mr. ?!?!?!

As you drive away you throw your lunch garbage out the window, and I get to give my kids a little lesson on littering..NICE!..Hib-Tac you should get a $750 fine!
Time to get loaded with taconite....look how tiny the pickup truck is compared to the shovel and the dump truck.

Now of to the crusher...

Well for a girl that loves to take her own picture Nikki was very against me snapping a few pics of her...she threw a fit! At least her dog was photogenic :)

Look at this big shovel bucket... what...it don't look big to you??
How about NOW!!!!
Here's a bigger dump truck tire. Look at those treads!! Amazing!

Now that's a realistic one of Nikki....true to form! Always on her cell phone she is :)
